to start with ...

This is a bit of an adventure for me; perhaps there will be one or maybe two others who will join in as I go along.  I am putting a few 'pages' alongside the blogs to look at some side issues which may be helpful.  Don't be alarmed if they are empty or incomplete ... stuff is coming, but probably slowly!

Everybody can join in what I hope to do here.  It will help to have a text of the piece of the bible alongside each blog ... if you don't have one look at http://www.biblica.com/bible/search/ for the text of the 2011 New International Version (latest English-usage, scholarship and clarity updated translation).  Type in John followed by the chapter number.
This isn't an academic exercise, so I'm not going to reference or properly argue over issues ... this is a reflective bible-study-for-life.  But I will try to put up a page with a bibliography for anyone who wants to sideline into discursive alternatives!
